BAABOO FOJI, A SOCIAL REFORME

BAABOO FOJI, A SOCIAL REFORME

According to William Shakespeare “All the World’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances. And one man in his time plays many parts his acts being seven ages.
Baaboo Foji knows my elders like Professor Muhammad Haroon Soomro and Sain Muhammad Ayoob Soomro. But I have personally known to him since 10 years, he came to College to meet me. He discussed the problems of Education. He is of the Opinion that Sindh cannot make progress unless the education of Sindh is lifted up. He believes that bright future of Sindh is the young generation of Sindh. His view is to provide proper education and guidance so that they should be true embodiment of the dreams and vision of Shah Latif.

ويٺي ور نه پون، سُتي ملن نه سپرين،
جي مٿي رندن رُون، ساجن ملي تن کي

Sit down, and you will never meet your dear friend sleep and the beloved will remain at the other end. They are the only one who the beloved meet. Who in their search shed tears in every street? Baaboo Foji’s life mission is to work. He always says that he has no work except to work.

There is a saying of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) that “The worker is a friend of Allah” Certainly Baaboo Aslam Foji has spent his entire life for the betterment of humanity. He always says that those who serve others become immortal. I have always seen him busy in the streets to surprise the work of cleanliness. He is the true picture of Leigh Hunt’s poem Abu Ben Adhem.

Abu Ben Adhem (May his tribe increase) awoke one night from deep dream of peace. And saw within the moonlight in his room, making it rich and like a lily in bloom. An angel, writing in a book of gold. Exceeding peace had made Ben Adhem bold, what writest thou? The vision raised its head and with a look made of all sweet accord, Answered, The names of those who love the lord. And is mine one? Said Abou. `Nay not so` replied the angel. Abou spoke more low, but cheerly still and said, “I pray thee then write me as one that loves his fellow men. The angel wrote and vanished the next night it came again with great wakening light, and showed the names whom love of God had blessed. And lo! Ben Adhem’s name led all the rest.
